Congressman Bill Posey began his political career as a city councilman in Rockledge, FL. He then ran for and won his seat in the Florida House before moving on the Florida Senate. While in the FL Senate, he authored Activity Based Total Accountability, which would change the way funds are allocated and spent in government. He was elected to his current seat in the US House of Representatives representing district 8 in 2008. A longtime and vocal supporter of the space program and NASA, he has helped secure needed funds. He is also very involved in the crisis of autism and the funding of the same.
