Senator Rob Bradley, an avid Gator fan, and having the University of Florida as his alma mater, graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1996. His first foray into politics was being appointed to the Clay County Commission in 2007. He was re-elected in 2008. Winning a newly drawn district for the Florida Senate in 2012, he represents the 7th district covering Alachua, Bradford, and Clay Counties.
